About

The Selby Park Shelter House is a convenient amenity for hosting local events.

The Colonial Hills Civic Association represents the residents of the Colonial Hills Subdivision located in Worthington, Ohio. Colonial Hills roughly spans the area between South Selby Blvd. on the south, Park Overlook on the north, Indianola Avenue on the east and High Street on the west. We also extend thru East Riverglen Drive on the northwestern corner.

Our Civic Association has been active producing events such as the Easter Egg Hunt, July 4th 5K Race, Parade and Celebration, holiday parties for children, food drives and more. We publish a monthly newsletter, The Colonial Hills Courier, and we often take advantage of the Shelter House at Selby Park to hold our activities. You can rent the Shelter House simply by stopping by the Worthington Community Center 345 E. Wilson Bridge Rd. (614-436-2743) for a nominal fee. The Shelter House belongs to the Worthington Parks Department.

The Civic Association is an events planning organization, not a homeowner’s association – concerns about zoning, property upkeep and other issues should be directed to the Worthington Service Department, 380 Highland Avenue, 614-431-2425.

Membership in the Civic Association is voluntary, and we only ask $15 / year for families and $5 / year for singles or seniors. Our goal is to make Colonial Hills a desirable place to live by promoting the neighborhood, offering family friendly activities that bring neighbors together and representing homeowners interests before City Council should the need arise.

The Colonial Hills Civic Association was founded in 1948, was originally incorporated June 30, 1952, and then later re-incorporated May 20, 1985 as a 501(c)(3) organization.
